Link Byfield is the Wildrose Alliance candidate for the Barrhead-Morinville-Westlock (BMW) provincial riding.

He has lived in the community of Riviere Qui Barre for almost 30 years, and raised a family there.

He has a background as a journalist and public policy advocate.

In 2004 he was elected as an Alberta senator-elect.

In 2007 he helped found the Wildrose Alliance (http://www.wildrosealliance.ca/), and ran as a candidate in the March, 2008 election.

In 2010 Riviere Qui Barre was added to the constituency of Barrhead-Morinville-Westlock. Link was acclaimed the Wildrose Alliance candidate in October, 2010.
